Jerod Gibson is the creative Director at the design studio, Alice. According to his site, Gibson has worked on various projects including Urban Outfitters, New Scientist, Cartoon Network, Dirty Disco Kidz, General Mills and Launchpad. A great example, and the one which drew me to his work, is the fantastic 37 Posters. The posters feature re-imaginings of iconic movies and pop culture references s...

I love the work of KNSK Germany, specifically the work they created for WMF. The creation of type with the use of the image is well executed and original. They specialise in mainly corporate work in both print and TV advertising. They tend to use mainly contemporary design methods. Their clients vary from the telecoms industry to a knife manufacturer (shown)....

G.F.D.A. is a humorous yet worthy collaborative project between designers/educators Brian Buirge and Jason Bacher. Click on "This isn't enough. I need more fucking advice" on the home page to get more advice, read about the traumatic experience of their recently hired intern and watch their 'Getting Shit Done: The Passion Behind G.F.D.A.' video. I love this project because behind the simple fact...

Stephanie Kubo has a BFA from California College of the Arts, San Francisco and is currently living and working in Oakland California. She creates hand drawn illustrations with lots of pattern and linework, usually with little to no digital editing. More recently she has been doing typography work - making hand drawn carved/printed non-keyable fonts. They are lovely....

The graffiti by Banksy always inspires me as there is always some sort of political meaning behind the work. Banksy's work in particular is cool because of the style of painting that is used which predominantly stencils and spray paint, which makes the detail of the finished product all the more amazing. Banksy's work can be seen almost all over the world and is always familiar when you find one....

Parallax is a brand and communications design firm based in Adelaide, South Australia. Matthew Remphrey is the Creative & managing director. I love the business cards by Parallax because they have incorporated elements that the reader can interact with through using cut outs and folds. Space, colour & simple graphic elements have also been used to draw attention to the information. This is summed ...

I love this work because of the comical feel to it. Though the image itself may not be humorous, Ben seems to put a comic element in most of his work, be it an angle, a facial expression or some hideously retro wallpaper. Ben Sanders works in Ballarat under the name The Milk Agency, and is well known for his Vodafone adverts). The retro element is quite similar to artists such as SHAG, who has a v...

Shepard Fairey's aesthetic originated from his interest and participation in street and sticker art whilst growing up. Breaking into the mainstream with his world wide sticker phenomenon - Andre the Giant Has a Posse, which later became Obey Giant, Fairey shot to fame. I love Shepard's work because of the street art stencil feel to it as well as the fact that his work is highly meaningful and sy...
