I really enjoyed this magazine layout. I think the use of repetition through color and the geometrical shapes tie the pages together really well. It is also a great example of typographic hierarchy. This design was done by Gonzalo Nogues from Argentina for the Revista Dale Magazine....

What attracted me was the elegance and sophistication behind the different type designs. You can tell the artist's background in calligraphy. I love the lay-out of his posters, the type lock-ups and their use in book and magazine covers, festival posters and logotypes......

Designbolaget are a Danish studio working out of Copenhagen. They describe their studio as one working at the intersection of art, fashion and culture. Their focus is mostly on print, which is part of the appeal for me. Their work has a great style, and each case they do is distinct, strong, well-considered and original. Their work is bold and cool, and I love the emphasis on colour and balance. ...

I particularly loved this piece of work from Mega. It was a proposal for the branding of the city they're based in, Copenhagen. The idea behind it was so simple, yet so effective at communicating the messages they were trying to get across. The way the type is set coupled with the really pleasing colour palettes deserves to be loved in my eyes....

Kate Moross became an established designer whilst she was still studying graphic design at Camberwell. I love how she has a really unique style and is not afraid to experiment with colour. She hand draws a lot of her typography, and then refines it. Check out her website, for some colourful inspiration! ...
