Jerod Gibson is the creative Director at the design studio, Alice. According to his site, Gibson has worked on various projects including Urban Outfitters, New Scientist, Cartoon Network, Dirty Disco Kidz, General Mills and Launchpad.
A great example, and the one which drew me to his work, is the fantastic 37 Posters. The posters feature re-imaginings of iconic movies and pop culture references such as The Goonies, Star Wars, Pulp Fiction and Labyrinth. The designs are really striking as they incorporate bold colours and text within iconic silhouetted images. The posters have also been aged to add to the retro appeal. A great blend of text and imagery, the work is as striking as it is nostalgic (for my age group at least).
