This weekend we attended London's popular Graphic Design festival, 'Pick Me Up'. The branding was designed by recent London guest lecturer, Emmi Salonen, and the oversized props looked amazing in situ at Somerset House.

The event itself was an awesome array of colourful illustrations and design pieces feauting work from the likes of Hey Studio and Jessica Das. We made the most of the acitivities available by painting some letters to spell 'TYPE' as well as attending a hilarious lecture, 'Confessions of a Typographer: Sins Serif' by Paul Felton. Our part time tutor Lana even volunteered to be beheaded as part of the 'Paper Cuts' installation.

If you missed the chance to visit 'Pick Me Up' this year, make sure you head down next year as it's a real treat for all things design!
