Iconic Photos as Dioramas

JoakimCortisAdrianSonderegger1StuartFranklinBack in 2012, finding themselves between projects, photographers Jojakim Cortis and Adrian Sonderegger decided to recreate Andreas Gursky’s infamous expensive photography Rhein II.

It started out as a joke. In our free time, when there’s no money coming in, we decided to recreate the most expensive pictures in the world.

Since then, their joke project has expanded. They’ve recreated some of the most iconic images from the past two centuries.

My personal favourite is Nessie, although the sheer effort they put into Tiananmen Square is extraordinary.
